In our section 'Employees in the spotlight' we like to show which people are behind our organisation. Every day Archive-IT is committed to support organisations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. Besides that, we develop software to guarantee safe digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motivations of the Archive-IT team members? Time for a look behind the scenes.

This time Jasper Reubsaet is in the spotlight. Jasper has been working for Archive-IT as a Consultant since September. We would like to introduce him to you!

How did you end up at Archive-IT and what did you do before?

''Before this I worked for three years at a software company which specialised in QR and digital ordering with your smartphone. In my job as a Business Consultant, I was mainly busy with customer contact and completing projects, from the first customer contact to the delivery. I eventually left that job because it was a bit too focused on customer service. I wanted to go deeper into giving advice and systematically go through a process with customers. When I was approached by a recruiter for a position that was open at Archive-IT, I jumped at the chance. After a couple of interviews, it immediately felt very good. What struck me immediately was the open family atmosphere and the short lines of communication. That immediately gave me a good feeling!''

Can you tell us more about your current position at Archive-IT?

''I work as a consultant at Archive-IT. Currently I am involved in the pre-sale and give global advice to support sales. Later on, when the projects really start, I will have deeper discussions with the customer. We then do an analysis of the customer's needs, what is required and what is my involvement in this. Take a classification digitisation project, for example. Together with the customer, I discuss what the final result should look like. Once that is all defined, we start setting up the software. Testing and mutual communication are of great importance here. Together with the team, we ensure that the project is delivered entirely to the wishes of the customer. Smooth cooperation between commerce, services and IT is essential.''

What do you like most about your job?

''Of course, I have only been working for Archive-IT for a short time. But what I personally get a lot of energy from, is successfully completing an entire project together with the customer. Of course, it is very nice when the customer appreciates this and you have really added value to an organisation."

Nice to know: Jasper is very interested in crypto and stocks and is therefore always up to date with what is going on. Every morning before work he checks the news of the financial markets and crypto stocks.

What does your average working day look like?

''I check my e-mails first thing in the morning; I always try to respond quickly. Apart from that, I spend a lot of time learning and practising certain software languages. I also consult our Product Manager a lot about how I should approach certain things in projects. I am currently involved in a number of projects to gain knowledge, so that I can later take on these projects independently with clients.''

What motivates you most in your work?

''The two things that motivate me the most are the clients and the colleagues. As I said, the appreciation of the customer is very motivating. My colleagues also motivate me. There is a very collegial atmosphere, and everyone is ready to help you. Of course, there is also time for a chat or a joke now and again.''
