Every day, Archive-IT is committed to supporting organisations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. In addition, software is developed to guarantee safe, digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motives of the employees of the Archive-IT team? Time for a look behind the scenes.
In the ‘Employee in the spotlight’ of December, Vincent Huizinga was nominated by Simone de Meulemeester. We would like to introduce Vincent to you!
How did you end up at Archive-IT?
“Before I joined Archive-IT, I worked at a company in Den Bosch. When, in June 2018, several things happened that had a big impact on my private life, I was at home for a period of time. During that period, a lot of things fell into place. One of these things was that working in Den Bosch did not make me happy. Because of the long travel distance and long working days I realized that I was ready for something else. When I saw a vacancy at Archive-IT that fitted my street, I seized the opportunity and expressed my motivation. Then I had a very nice and open job interview, after which I called the same day if I wanted to come to a second interview. After this interview had taken place, I was able to start at Archive-IT as a consultant. A beautiful, new challenge!”
Vincent, can you explain what the work of a consultant involves?
“In short: offering (IT-related) support to our clients. So if there are customers who don’t get anywhere or who have problems with one of our software applications, I will help those customers with this problem. I am also involved in setting up software environments for new customers. Every customer needs some customization, so I set up the environment so that it suits their working method and field of expertise. In my work, the customer is 100% central!”
Nice to know: Vincent is the chairman of a small carnival association in Venlo called ‘without a bear without pleasure’ (or in other words: without a beer no pleasure!).
Where do you get satisfaction during your work?
“As I said earlier, I’m busy every day with meeting the customer’s needs. If you then get positive feedback from the customer and have really been able to help them so that they can continue with their work, that gives me a great sense of satisfaction. As long as the customer is 100% satisfied, so am I!”
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
“In 10 years’ time, I will still see myself working at Archive-IT. Since minute one I feel completely at ease here. We work in a very open and transparent family culture, in which I find myself completely at home. When I look at the work I’m doing now, I get a lot of pleasure out of my daily work and I have more than enough challenge. And having fun in your work is very important to me.”

I would like to nominate Tom Buysse for the month of February. Tom is one of our Belgian account managers. Because we see each other less often, I am very curious about his story and his daily activities.”
