In our section ‘Employees in the spotlight’ we like to show which people are behind our organization. Every day Archive-IT is committed to support organisations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. Besides that, we develop software to guarantee safe digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motivations of the Archive-IT team members? Time for a look behind the scenes.

This time Anita van Pol is in the spotlight. Anita is working for Archive-IT on the finance department since November 2022. We would like to introduce her to you!

How long have you been working at Archive-IT and what did you do before that?

''Last November, I started working at Archive-IT as a part-time employee in the finance department. I also work part-time at a laying hen company. Before this, I worked at a company in Helmond that produced concrete products. I had the same job there. However, they had a completely different way of working when it came to administration. My duties mainly consisted of just booking invoices. I was looking for more of a challenge in my job, so I looked further afield.''

Can you tell a bit more about the job you have now at Archive-IT?

''I haven’t been working here for a very long time, so it is still mainly a lot of learning. My work mainly consists of booking purchase invoices and putting information together. I also have contact with customers when invoices are not paid on time. I intend to support my colleague Jolanda more in her work. So far, I like the different way of working. Because I am still relatively new, it is sometimes a challenge, but I like that.''

What does your average working day look like?

''Now we are at a stage where we get assignments from the auditors so that they have a complete picture of all financial information. Then, if they need certain information, I go to work to get the right information. Normally, my work largely consists of booking invoices and everything that comes with it. My tasks will expand when I start supporting Jolanda.''

What motivates you most while working?

''I do my best to do my job to the best of my ability. It is already challenging because I am working at a higher level. At Archive-IT, we do much of the finance ourselves. This again expands my knowledge and that motivates me.''

Nice to know: I am a board member of a fellow sufferers' association for widows and widowers. Here, people who have lost their partner can get together to do activities together or simply talk about it. This gives me a lot of satisfaction.

What are your goals for the near future?

''For myself, I want to keep enjoying my work by finding the balance between challenge and routine. I like variety in my work. Because I work in two places, I have that anyway, and I hope to continue to do. On a personal level, I want to take more time to do creative things that I enjoy, which I am not very good at at the moment.''
