On May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) officially came into effect. This law expands and strengthens the privacy rights of individuals and businesses. For various companies, this law has a significant impact. Companies are allowed to collect personal data based on – user consent, vital interests, legal obligation, contract, public interest, and legitimate interest.
Personal Data
Archive-IT digitizes and archives many files daily. Files full of privacy-sensitive information. Information security has always played a leading role in all of Archive-IT's business processes. In 2014, we received the ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certifications for our high level of security – certifications that we still hold today and will continue to maintain in the future. A testament to our hard work. When the GDPR was introduced, Archive-IT also embraced it, and we are proud to say that we are GDPR compliant. This is an important factor for our clients, who entrust us with their valuable and privacy-sensitive information.
Data Protection Officer
One component of the GDPR is the Data Protection Officer (DPO). Archive-IT is required to appoint a DPO since we are a large processor of personal data. We are pleased to introduce Mr. Drs A.
