In our section: ‘Employee in the Spotlight,’ we are happy to showcase the people behind our organization. Every day, Archive-IT is dedicated to supporting organizations in the transition from a paper-based to a digital working environment. Additionally, software is developed to ensure secure digital accessibility. But who does what? And what motivates the team members at Archive-IT? Time for a look behind the scenes!
This month we would like to introduce you to Hans Baltussen!
Hans, Can You Tell Us About the Progression of Your Current Role (and Possibly Previous Roles)?
"I have been working at Archive-IT for about six months as a logistics employee, in the broadest sense of the word. Logistics has always interested me, which is why I have always worked in logistics roles before. At Archive-IT, I am responsible for safely picking up, packing, and transporting client files to Archive-IT's location(s). I also occasionally handle moving projects for client archives. I step in wherever needed. Since I have always worked in the logistics sector, I was often out on my own. What I enjoy about Archive-IT is that I work a lot in teams, and I find that really enjoyable!"
What Does Your Average Workday Look Like?
"It's very diverse, so for me, there really isn't an average workday. It varies from being on the road a lot, working with clients on their archives, packing archive materials, to handling requests at our storage location. It also happens that I prepare files from the archive for destruction. There are so many different tasks that it's hard to describe an 'average workday.' There's a lot of variety, and that's what makes my job really enjoyable and never boring!"
What Makes Archive-IT the Organisation Where You Enjoy Working?
"I think the team is perfect, there's a great atmosphere with very nice collegiality. Everyone is ready to help each other and complements each other well. I also appreciate the small scale of the company. This makes the contact more personal during work, and the lines of communication are nice and short. You're not just a small cog in a huge machine, but a team member who is valued."
