In our section: ‘Employee in the spotlight’ we like to show which people are behind our organization. Every day Archive-IT strives to support organizations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. In addition, software is being developed to guarantee safe, digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motivations of the Archive-IT team? Time for a look behind the scenes.

This month we would like to introduce you to Kim Dijkman!

Kim, How Did You End Up at Archive-IT?

“Two years ago I started working at Archive-IT through an employment agency. At the time, I was working in domestic help, but I was in need of something else. A friend of mine, who worked at the temporary employment agency in question, told me that a position in the Services department was open at Archive-IT. The position was in Reuver at the main location of Archive-IT, an additional advantage for me because I also live here.”

Can You Tell Us a Bit About Your Position at Archive-IT?

“I started in the Services department, where I was mainly involved in cleaning up paper files, which were then digitized. In the meantime, I have grown further within Archive-IT and I take on the daily work at our department: Storage at pallet level. I take care of the registration of incoming archive documents. Then I make sure that the archive is archived in our premises. If a customer needs an archive document, the request comes to me. I will look for the relevant record and make sure that it is delivered digitally or physically within the request time. I handle the request completely by myself. I also have regular contact with customers, for example about a specific request or destruction. For the item Storage at pallet level I take responsibility for this. I like that variety very much!”

Nice to know: Kim always wanted to be a teacher at an elementary school in the junior classroom.

What Does Your Average Day Look Like?

“I have breakfast every day with my children (twins) of 6 years old. Then I take them to school and then I drive to Archive-IT. When I am at work I handle all the requests that have come in. There is a lot of time pressure, because it has to be processed within a certain time and it has to reach the client. In addition to carrying out my work at Storage at pallet level, I also regularly help out at Archive-IT’s other services. For example, at the Storage at file level. When my working day is over, I go home again. Here I eat with my family and then there are often activities such as soccer training or swimming on the program for the kids!”
