This month we would like to introduce you to Roy Peeters!
Your Official Job Title Is ‘Quality, Information Security Privacy Officer, and Sales Support’: Quite a Mouthful. Can You Explain Where Your Responsibilities Lie Within Archive-IT?
"My responsibilities include ensuring that we operate in accordance with legislation, internal procedures, standards (ISO 27001 and NEN 7510), and agreements made within the company. This ensures that our services and products are maintained at the highest possible level. Together with a team of trained, enthusiastic auditors, we review all of our processes every year and assess them for completeness, relevance, and compliance. I am responsible for the planning of both internal and external audits. This helps us maintain the cycle of continuous improvement. As a company, you want to keep improving to deliver the highest possible quality and reliability at an acceptable investment level for the client."
The Importance of Information Security
"With the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on May 25, 2018, there is even more emphasis on how personal data is handled. Since Archive-IT is a large processor of such data, this has definitely captured our attention. We have already made significant progress and are largely GDPR-compliant; an important topic that falls, among other things, under my responsibility."
Additionally, Roy is also jointly responsible for supporting the Sales department and the administrative execution of this. This includes tasks such as preparing quotes, invoicing, and accounts receivable monitoring. With his critical eye, Roy always looks at: ‘how can it be (even) better.’
You Have Been Working With a Lot of Enthusiasm at Archive-IT for Many Years. What Really Energises You While Performing Your Tasks?
"I don’t like redundant or unnecessary work. I get energy from implemented process improvements. I also get energy from collaborating with my colleagues; working together to build a solid foundation for the company, in an open and collegial atmosphere."
