At this moment, we are all living in an unreal time, with daily life dominated by Covid-19. Archive-IT’s Social Fund supports charities and meaningful initiatives throughout the year. During this period, the Social Fund has decided to offer some support to local businesses and residents. Several activities have been organized for this purpose.
Bösdael & Loek Natuurlijk
On the edge of the center of Reuver, in the Bösdael neighborhood, are a number of care apartments and group homes from De Zorggroep. The apartments are for people who need care and nursing, and care is provided in the group homes for people with dementia. Due to the current situation, residents are no longer allowed to receive visitors. To brighten their days a little, we had around 200 bunches of tulips delivered. These tulips came from Loek Natuurlijk, a local florist in Reuver.
PSW
PSW (Pedagogical Social Work) supports children and adults who need assistance in directing and shaping their own lives. PSW Beesel has six departments in Reuver. Currently, they too are not allowed to receive visitors. To cheer up their day, we delivered six filled shopping bags full of treats. This delivery came at just the right time, as PSW was celebrating its 10th anniversary that day. This way, they still had something to celebrate in these surreal times!
Noodfood
Crewfood and EMG have founded Noodfood to provide healthcare workers, caregivers, and the elderly with ready-made meals. The idea originated in Venlo, but Bram Drost quickly realized that there was a large demand for fresh meals throughout the entire Limburg province. That’s why, together with Danny Keppels, he is now expanding the project across Limburg. We are supporting Noodfood with a donation so that more meals can be prepared.
Support Your Locals
Local hospitality businesses in Reuver also need a helping hand as they are (partially) closed. The Social Fund has purchased a number of gift vouchers to make a small contribution. Café Restaurant De Grens, Grandcafé Restaurant Luxor, Cafetaria & Lunchroom Marktzicht, and Jo’s Ice Cream Parlor— we hope to visit you again soon!
