The Social Fund of Archive-IT donates every quarter to (local) good causes and meaningful initiatives. We are able to do this because all employees set aside a portion of their profit share, which is then doubled by the management. In the second quarter of 2022, we made several donations, and we would like to inform you about them.

Stichting Dakloos Dier

Stichting Dakloos Dier works to reduce the number of stray cats on the streets. They rescue, care for, and find new homes for the cats. Additionally, they provide information to the public to offer a helping hand to anyone who has found a cat in need. They carry out this work with a team of motivated volunteers.

Lieke Verstappen

Lieke is 14 years old and had a rare aggressive tumor in her arm. After surgery and successful treatment at the Princess Maxima Center, she was able to go home after 47 days. Fortunately, she is fully recovered. With the donation, she wants to give something back to the Princess Maxima Center and raise funds for (further) research.

Zion

Zion, like his older sister Zara, is a heart child and was born with hypoplastic right heart syndrome. Although Zara’s heart was unfortunately not strong enough for her body, little Zion is doing very well! However, they are not out of the woods yet, as he will soon have to undergo another major operation.

Stichting Maria Auxiliatrix Run

The Stichting Maria Auxiliatrix Run organizes the annual sidecar ride of North Limburg and an unforgettable weekend for people with disabilities. After two years, they will finally be able to organize the run again in September. The run is for people with disabilities from Zorggroep Venlo, Mytylschool Venlo, Impuls Venlo, and Gehandicapte Scouting Hertog Reinoud Venlo.

Samen Tafelen

At Samen Tafelen in Grathem, volunteers cook a three-course meal for seniors and/or single people every second Wednesday of the month. The goal is to create a pleasant gathering to talk, laugh, and eat together. In July, they will have a special event to encourage new participants to join.

Festival Kleurrijk

For the second time, the KLEUR day-care organization is hosting a festival for people with intellectual disabilities to give them an unforgettable day. Not only people with disabilities are welcome, but also all residents of Vlodrop and surrounding areas, promoting integration and normalization. The festival is free for everyone, including the entrance and food and drinks, ensuring that financial barriers are not an obstacle for anyone to attend.

You too can suggest charitable causes that could benefit from a one-time donation. These will be reviewed by the Social Fund, and who knows, we may be able to help. Together we are strong! Contact us at sociaalfonds@archive-it.nl.
