The Social Fund of Archive-IT donates to (local) charities and wonderful initiatives every quarter. We are able to do this because all employees set aside a portion of their profit share, after which the management doubles this amount. In the third quarter of 2022, we made several donations, which we would like to inform you about.
Stichting Level Inn
Christiaan Engels spent a long period at home during the corona crisis, and he was completely done with it. He put his shoulder into a new project: Level Inn. A place in Venray where everyone is welcome. Christiaan, who was once bullied because of his autism, knows how important it is to have such a place. Christiaan's response to the donation: 'I think it's amazing and great to hear that you want to donate an amount to the foundation. Really, thank you so much for wanting to do this, we are always incredibly grateful to all our donors. Because with and through the support we receive, we have the opportunity to purchase new items for the activities we organize.'
Isa
Isa van Orden, 7 years old, has been diagnosed with a rare muscle cancer. She has started chemotherapy, followed by surgery and radiation. The prognosis is unclear, but of course, everyone hopes that one day she will recover. Isa comes from a family of 4 children, the youngest of whom is still under a year old.
Dorrie, Monique en Dennis | Orange Babies
In early November, Dorrie, Monique, and Dennis will get on their bikes to ride the Grand Tour Namibia organized by the Orange Babies Foundation. A 9-day bike ride to raise as much money as possible for an HIV-free world. They will visit clinics, orphanages, and schools built by the foundation to see how they implement educational programs, meet the founders, and get to know the mothers and children at the heart of it all.
Vrienden van Oekraïne
Within Archive-IT, the old shelving in the archive was dismantled. The proceeds from the steel, as well as the payment for the former Jalema employee who dismantled the shelving, were donated to Friends of Ukraine. They are committed to supporting the dire situation in Ukraine.
Ulingshof On Wheels | Make a Wish
On October 3rd, as part of the celebration week of Onderwijsgroep Buitengewoon, Ulingshof on Wheels was organized. During the sponsorship event, all students completed laps in a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle, and racerunner to raise money for Make-A-Wish. Make-A-Wish is an organization that fulfills the wishes of children aged 3 to 18 who have a serious, sometimes even life-threatening illness.
Gemeente Beesel | Dierenbescherming
The Municipality of Beesel organizes an annual collection to raise funds for the Animal Foundation, which always takes place around Animal Day. The Animal Protection organization is committed to an animal-friendly society, where the well-being of animals is just as natural as that of humans. They do this through high-quality animal assistance, information, education, and influencing policies. The goal is to prevent animal suffering so that rescue is needed less often. However, when animals do find themselves in need, they are there to rescue and shelter them. During the collection, a wonderful amount of €1,472.46 was raised.
De Hond Kan De Was Doen
The 'The Dog Can Do The Laundry' Foundation supports team training for both humans and service dogs. Qualified and experienced instructors teach both adults and children with physical disabilities how to train their own dog to become a service dog. It’s a fantastic and intensive program in which humans and dogs learn to work together in the best way possible. The goal: to increase independence, both at home and outside.
John
On his last day of vacation in Wales, John Peeters from Beesel was seriously injured after falling 10 meters from a mountain in Wales. His pelvis was shattered, and he broke five ribs. His left knee, fifth lumbar vertebra, kidney, and ureter were also damaged in the fall.
You too can suggest charitable causes that could benefit from a one-time donation. These will be reviewed by the Social Fund, and who knows, we may be able to help. Together we are strong! Contact us at sociaalfonds@archive-it.nl.
