The Social Fund of Archive-IT donates to (local) good causes and meaningful initiatives every quarter. We are able to do this because all employees set aside a portion of their profit share, which is then matched by the management. In the last quarter of 2020, several donations were made, and we are pleased to inform you about them.

Taalschool De Brink

Taalschool De Brink is a school for newcomers and children of asylum seekers. The common characteristic of these students is that they speak little to no Dutch upon entering school. The primary focus is on learning to communicate in daily situations. Mastery of the Dutch language is, after all, the means to thrive in school and, more importantly, in Dutch society.

Kanjer Wens

Kanjer Wens Nederland is committed to seriously ill children, sometimes with terminal conditions. They fulfill their wishes by giving them the day of their lives. This allows them to spend a carefree day enjoying each other's company, together with their immediate family. The effect is an unforgettable memory for everyone involved, and this is what Kanjer Wens refers to as the "Kanjereffect." A day of carefree enjoyment is priceless.

Heart for Romania

Stichting Heart for Romania aims to provide small-scale humanitarian aid to individuals and institutions in the social, medical, and educational sectors in the Sibiu region. One of their projects is the adoption project. Due to the economic crisis, the government implemented measures in 2010 that affected the entire population. Benefits were reduced, and social programs were terminated. Children, the elderly, disabled, and sick people are the largest victims of these measures.

Archive-IT financially adopts five children, who come from poor families with an average income of €150 per month. They live in small homes, often made of cardboard, corrugated iron, or plastic, with no utilities.

Stichting Leergeld

Poels Retail Group and Stichting Leergeld have joined forces. In the Netherlands, one in twelve children lives in poverty. These children cannot participate in activities that are normal for their peers due to financial reasons. They are often left standing on the sidelines. Poels Retail Group and Leergeld want to help these children take part in these activities!

Stichting Komma

Stichting Komma aims to help as many terminally ill parents as possible leave a lasting legacy for their (young) children. In times when the primary concern is the care of a terminally ill parent, we believe these individuals can benefit from help in creating lasting memories for their children.

Voedselbanken Peel en Maas & Venlo

In the Netherlands, more than 1 million people live below the poverty line. The food bank helps the poorest by temporarily providing them with food packages. Volunteers at the food banks distribute food weekly to people who urgently need it. December was focused on the food bank at Radio538, where we also contributed. In addition, we made a donation to the food banks in the municipalities of Peel en Maas & Venlo.

You too can suggest charitable causes that could benefit from a one-time donation. These will be reviewed by the Social Fund, and who knows, we may be able to help. Together we are strong! Contact us at sociaalfonds@archive-it.nl.
