The Social Fund of Archive-IT donates every quarter to (local) good causes and beautiful initiatives. We are able to do this because all employees set aside a portion of their profit share, and the management doubles this amount. In the last quarter of 2021, we made several donations, and we would like to inform you about them.
Watersnoodramp Limburg
Last year, several floods occurred in Limburg, Belgium, and Germany. The floods caused a lot of damage, especially in the south. The National Disaster Fund has raised over €11,500,000 to support households that are not covered by insurance.
Menstruatiemaatje
Soroptimist Club Venlo and Ladies’ Circle Venlo have started an initiative to provide menstruation products to less fortunate girls and women. Together with Food Bank Venlo, they ensure that the products directly reach the girls and women who need them most. For €36, one person is provided with a hygiene package for a year.
Stichting Family Care
The Roermond City Swim unfortunately did not take place, but SBC Advocaten wanted to still support the good cause Foundation Family Care. Therefore, they took the initiative to dive into the water themselves. The foundation helps children in disadvantaged families with their basic needs, such as a healthy meal or participation in a school trip. The coronavirus crisis has further worsened the situation for many children; more and more families are living in poverty, and children from these families are ending up in social isolation.
Kerk/consultatiebureau in Hongarije
A group of people from the region traveled to Hungary to visit a project. The church is currently being renovated into a consultation office through donations, to provide care for young children. The Hungarian government still falls short in this area, so these offices are very much needed.
Stichting Ambulance Wens
The founder of Foundation Ambulance Wish, Kees Veldboer, passed away at the age of 62 due to a heart attack. He founded the organization in 2007 to fulfill the last wish of terminally ill, immobile patients. His son, also named Kees Veldboer, is taking over as the director of Foundation Ambulance Wish. Together with 270 volunteers, they are continuing the life’s work of Kees Veldboer Sr.
Stichting Félice
Foundation Félice helps parents make the farewell to their young child a little more beautiful. This can be done by providing a wooden animal with the child’s name on it, a beautiful box or basket for the funeral, a special extra to show that they are thought of, or a swan in the digital swan pond.

Kindjes met Hoop
The Children with Hope Foundation is committed to improving the living conditions in orphanages and nursing homes in Morocco. The differences between the rich and poor are vast in Morocco. The foundation has renovated an orphanage in Marrakesh, which now has a cozy living room, allowing the children to experience a homely environment. For a nursing home in Marrakesh, they provided walkers, comfortable beds, and crutches to make life much more pleasant for the elderly.
Missie 538 - DOA
Radio 538 fought for 12 good causes in December, including the Disabled Care Fund, the Brain Foundation, Help for Heroes, and Plastic Soup Foundation. For 7 days, 24 hours a day, efforts were made to raise money. Archive-IT participated in the mission for DOA, the largest shelter in the Netherlands, to create a maternity department for abandoned kittens.
3FM Serious Request - WNF
3FM Serious raised money for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WNF). For 6 days, 24 hours a day, they played requested songs in exchange for donations from the Glass House in Amersfoort. The raised money will be used by WNF to protect and restore the rainforest in South America. The total amount raised was over €2 million.
You too can suggest charitable causes that could benefit from a one-time donation. These will be reviewed by the Social Fund, and who knows, we may be able to help. Together we are strong! Contact us at sociaalfonds@archive-it.nl.
